SCHOOL OF LIFE: BETRAYAL 

JOHN  2:24 - 25

But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men,  2:25 And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.

MEDITATION 

"We are as sheep in the midst of wolves" Jesus admonished; "be as wise as serpent and harmless as dove" he further instructed.  Because we turn deaf ear to this instruction,  we suffer disappointment in the hands of men mostly from those we trust. 

David confessed that a man's enemies are his close associates.  Be careful who you share your secrets with or when he or she finds another master or even your enemy that pays higher, he will use your secrets to buy favour.

Betrayal is turning against your close confidant and delivering him to his enemies for selfish gain. We fall into betrayal trap because we confused love with trust. It's not every thing you must tell everybody about yourself.  Judas was able to betray Jesus because John 18:2 says "And Judas also, which BETRAYED HIM, KNEW THE PLACE: for Jesus ofttimes resorted thither with his disciples."

Jesus was betrayed so we won't be betrayed. Don't  give yourself too much to all men neither expect too much from all men so that you won't be disappointed. Love all men, trust God. Mind the people you give yourself to. 

AFFIRMATION 

I love all people but I mind the people I give myself to.

 PRAYERS

Father, endue me with the spirit of discernment and wisdom to know what I ought to do at all times in Jesus name

HEBREWS  12:15  

Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;

 MEDITATION.

Bitterness is going to prison for another person's offense. It's living in a prolonged emotional torment and pains because of unforgiveness, envy or jealousy. 

When offence matures, it gives birth to anger and when anger over stays, it results in the sin of bitterness. It's toxic and acidic and has negative effects on both our health and spiritual life. Scriptures says a broken spirit dries the bone.

The bad thing about bitterness is that the person we are bitter with is happy and free and we are in self afflicted bondage and torment because of unforgiveness.

Be loving, tolerant and forgiven. Don't give room to bitterness to trouble you.

 AFFIRMATION

I sanitize my heart. I don't allow bitterness to take root and grow.

Father help me to tolerate and love one another in Jesus name.

GALATIANS 5.19 -20

The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions (NIV)

MEDITATION 

Jealousy mean I have and I don't want you to have. It's when we become intolerant of others we suspect as rivals. The problem with jealousy is not the action but the assumption.  It's possible to be sincerely wrong in most case of jealousy. What we suspect and antagonized might not be true,

Jealousy is not borne out of love but feeling of exclusive ownership and right over something.  It's not a sin but it can lead to sin. It's a very dangerous cage to be imprisoned in. God can be jealous because He's righteous and all knowing but we are not so must control our emotions. 

Love worketh no evil to his neighbour.  Love of Christ constraints us. We must not be quick to judge and suspect.  We should be tolerance of others and seek deeper understanding of issues before we draw conclusion. Nothing is wrong with jealousy when the issues are true but every thing wrong with jealousy when the issue is based on mere assumptions. 

Be guidance of your possession but be wise, tolerance and sensitive.

AFFIRMATION 

I don't jump to conclusions.  I tolerate and seek deeper understanding. 

 PRAYERS

Father, baptise me with the spirit of love, patience and discernment in Jesus name

 MEDITATION

Mind the people you allow into the circle of your life. It's not everybody that you should give a seat in your life. Some should just visit and leave.

Define every association and guard it's gates vigilantly and diligently. Defines the boundaries and terms of who is a friend, colleague, mate and relations. Never assume a company.

People we associate with are meant to be sharpeners not erasers. Never accept a company out of pity or sentiment. Nobody and nothing leaves you the same.

Life is too short to waste around stupid people and things. Being vigilant with people you allow into your life is wisdom not pride.

Be wise in choosing your company.

 AFFIRMATION

I don't want to be fool. I mind my company.

 PRAYERS

Father give me discernment and courage to say to select my company wisely in Jesus name.

PROVERBS  14:30 

 A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.  

MEDITATION

Envy is allowing foolishness replace your self confidence with inferiority complex. It also means I don't have and am not happy about another person's progress.

Life is a race with purpose not with other men. The moment we loose sight of purpose, we start seeing people. When we loose self confidence, we start hating others progress.

When we are happy about another person's progress, we receive strength to progress also. Only foolish people pull others down or march on others on their way up. 

Flee envy, focus pursue purpose, push others up as you are going up and  believe God. The same God that made that person will make you too.

AFFIRMATION 

I resist bitterness. I push others up.

 PRAYERS

Father, baptise me with the spirit of love and sound mind in Jesus name

SCHOOL OF LIFE: REVENGE 

PROVERBS 19.11 

Good sense makes a man restrain his anger, and it is his glory to overlook a transgression or an offense. (AMP)

MEDITATION 

Vengeance is punishment inflicted in retaliation for an injury or offense. It's natural to react to offense in the same spirit and action of the offender but it's wise not to follow all rights in life. Discipline is the ability to show restraint in life. Most times in life we need to stoop low to conquer.

Overlooking an offense is not cowardice and revenge is not strength. Revenge is a negative by product of anger. The purpose of anger is not hatred and revenge but show of displeasure over an offense for the offendee to take corrections and make amends.

Revenge is morally wrong because it's dishonorable and scripturally wrong because vengeance is an exclusive right of God. You cannot touch it and come out clean. "I will leave the Bible aside and deal with you", "small revenge is done on earth here" are unhealthy and dishonorable words that need not be heard among children of God. 

"Avenge not yourselves...for vengeance is mine" is an instruction from God not a suggestion from man. Seek a wise and meek spirit. Show restraint and give God his place.

AFFIRMATION 

I am an honourable. I overlook offense

ECCLESIASTES 7:9 

 Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools.

MEDITATION

In the school of life, offences will come and things that will bring offence will not stop happening but wisdom demands we put a check over our emotions to ensure we don't allow it go hay wire in our reaction to offences.

Anger is a strong feeling of displeasure towards something or someone. We should not be HASTY to be angry is an advice of a wiseman. Cultivate the habit of meditating on issues deeply first before reacting. When angry, be quick to recover from it and make amends where necessary. The purpose of anger is to show displeasure not to pick offence. We should not allow anger graduate to violence, degenerate to unforgiveness and mature into bitterness.

High temper is not a virtue to be proud of as some clearly announced to people. It's walking around with self destructive time bomb.

Beware of the dangers of anger. It destroyed Moses. It can also destroy anyone. Whoever befriend it is not wise.

Resist anger.

AFFIRMATION

I am meek and wise. I put my emotions under control.

PRAYERS 

Father deliver me from the temptations of anger and bitterness and endue me with a meek spirit in Jesus name, amen.

ROMANS 14:19  

Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.  

MEDITATION 

Peace is a state of security and order provided by commitment to enforcement and obedience to set rules. Wherever and whenever there's strife, confusion, war, disorder and commotion, somebody or a group of people did not pay the peace price. If we have joy like a river and peace like saliva, we will live in hell on earth. Absence of peace tears life into pieces. 

Life is like drivers on the road. All hearts of men are desperately wicked. Peace is understanding the selfishness and wickedness in your environment and evolving strategies to either tolerate or overcome them. We don't assume or wait for peace; we follow and pursue peace.

There is the gift of peace and the fruit of peace. Both of them takes responsibility to mature. We must intentionally cultivate strategies and take multiple responsibilities to enforce the maturity of the peace process. It might not be easy but with God of peace, all things are possible with him.

Only the wicked is not permitted to have peace. But for the righteous, if we want peace, we are implore to please the Lord, be at peace with ourselves, stand for peace, pray for peace, follow after peace, and seek peace and the God of peace which passes every understanding will give us abundant peace. Shalom!

AFFIRMATION 

 I am a child of God. I pursue peace.

SCHOOL OF LIFE: FORGIVENESS 

Forgiveness is to ceased from resentment towards an offender. It's to stop going to prison for another person's offense. It's an unconditional instruction given by God men to enhance peace and joy on earth.

It's common to see selective forgiveness being practiced by many today. We now have forgivable and unforgivable offences; gender based offences (offences that if men default, they must be Forgiveness but if women default, they must be crucified) and unforgivable customary offences.

Forgiveness is a spiritual and moral instruction not a customary or social tradition. It is not a gift to be prayed for but a virtue to cultivate.  It is not selective of offense, office or gender. It is a mandatory requisite for securing our own forgiveness from God. Forgiveness must be full of love and mercy.

Forgiveness is a symbiotic virtue. It is beneficial to both the offender and the offendee. It delivers the offendee from self afflicted pains while giviing the offender a second chance to make amends. It may or may not stop the consequences of our defaulting, but it restores the offender back into the fold. Unforgiveness on the other hand is the foundation for offence, a second away from anger and the residence of bitterness. When unforgiveness matures, it gives birth to wickedness. 

Be loving and compassionate.  Resist the temptations of unforgiveness by forgiving one another and be free and healthy.

AFFIRMATION 

I deliver myself from anger and bitterness.  I forgive!

Father, give me courage to forgive others as you forgive me in Jesus name

Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. (KJV)

MEDITATION 

Nevrr mock at another in the school of life. No matter how vigilant and diligent you are, no one has outgrown errors and downturns. If you are not there yet, it's coming on the way. Wise students  don't laugh at another student; They do their best to encourage and extend a helping hand.. We owe each other the responsibility of praying and encouraging one another when another is overtaken by a fault.

As we grow in life, so also are we open to more and new temptations and opportunities. Encouraging and restoring one another is our moral and spiritual  responsibility.  Don't go up  mocking at others who cannot run at your speed. Go up pushing others up. Never mock another because of a situation. 

Most people that are down today might not be as a result of a fault. They might be in their season of gestation or hibernation.  Cassava matures in 6 months  and palm tree in 3 years. That does not make Cassava smarter than palm tree. Never underate what you don't understand 

Let's be clothe with meekness and love for one another. Life is a cycle of turns. What goes around,  comes around. Be a maker not a mocker

AFFIRMATION 

I am the  helping hand of God.  As I help others, God help me also.

SCHOOL OF LIFE: MISTAKES

No matter who is our model or mentor, nobody is altogether useful.  Only God is altogether good. Everyman is prone to sin, mistakes and weaknesses. In learning from life, learn from the good virtues in your mentor and run from the bad ones. Never run from a mentor nor join others to drag him down because he has fallen into the mistake of life. Anybody in his place can also fall. God allow us to stay alive and witness the fall so we will not fall also.

Because your mentor falls does not mean he has fail. One false prophecy (mistake) does not make a prophet a false prophet. He must have spoken in a haste. Be patient with all men and learn to give people a second chance. Samuel made choosed Eliab instead of David and God never despised him nor branded him fake.

No man is perfect. Every one is an embodiment of strengths and weaknesses. Nobody has failed yet and nobody has succeeded yet. We are all work in progress. Be thankful for the opportunities you have maximized and temptations you have overcome.  Be sober and prayerful for the ones that are yet to come.

Let him that thinketh he standeth be strong in the Lord and take heed. Rejoice at values in men and resist from vices in them.

MEDITATION

To survive in this world, hard work is enough to put food on our table and provide the necessities of life but to be great in life. we need more than hardwork to succeed. There's no greatnrss weather in God or the world that does not have spiritual affiliation.

To be a light in the world, hardwork is enough. But to shine in the world, spiritual help will be needed. It took Jesus instructions for Peter to catch multitude of fish; Isaac planted and became great because the Lord bless him and the genetic knowledge was revealed to Jacob by angels in the dream.

Don't be distracted by messages of the end time, without the grace of God we are nothing. Greatness is possible in Christ.

Be born again; Be spiritual; Be Godly.

Arise, Shine!

But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.

MEDITATION

It's very rampant to hear people say these : "what has God done for me" " Am I the one that killed the son of God" " What kind of thing is this"  etc all these because of momentarily challenge. Jesus warned the disciples "offence will come" but concluded later " Blessed is he that's not offended in me"

Let's be cautious with our utterance when we are under pressure or challenge. Every temptation and challenge we are privileged to experience is our capacity. Job knew this when he cautioned the wife.

Don't be exasperated nor encourage a pity party neither be  an echo of others wrong opinion. No matter, the issue, no situation last forever. You will rise again if you faint not.

Stagger not at the promises of God like Abraham and give glory to God. You can do all things through Christ. Resist it; you are an immovable rock. (Zech. 12:3)

AFFIRMATION

I am an immovable rock. I am able to resist offence.

 PRAYERS

Father, endue me with patience  to to be still in the time of temptation and challenge in Jesus name

ROCK OF OFFENCE!

ROMANS   9:33  

As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

MEDITATION

Many Christians are guilty of offence in the faith. Christians are now the ones tearing the faith apart by criticism.  We have now becone a toxic tool in the hand of the devil in destroying the faith we are building.  When a brother is deviating, you thst is strong owes him the responsibility of restoring him back in prayers and not in public. 

When we are offended in our offices, we accept sorry as a compensation and continue working; we are offended in our neighborhood, we lived, we quarreled and continued living in the neighborhood.  But we are offended in church by a sister or we picked an offence in the word of God, we will stop going to church. Caution! Don't allow offence remove your defense.  Offence opened door for John the Baptit to be beheaded.

The word of God is a two edged sword. It can go forward in your favour when handle with joy or comes backward to your detriment when handle with foolishness. Be void offence towards God and men.  Give no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed: (2 Corinthians  6:3).

Be an agent of glory to the church at all cost. Let  neither God nor the gospel be brought into disrepute because of your words, actions or reaction. Merciful God is also a consuming fire. He's a Rock of offence and a jealous God.  Beware of your actions and reactions everywhere. 

AFFIRMATION

I am a agent of glory. I defend the faith.

OFFENCE!

ACTS  24:16 

And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men.

MEDITATION

Offense is the inability to have firm control over our emotions because of lack of good understanding and maturity. 

Life is a hurdle race and day in day out, things will be continually positioned in our path to provoke us to be discourage and give up or misbehave and stumble. It's therefore our responsibility to take decision that will strengthen us to overcome these hurdles. Wise man Solomon once said in Prov.19.11 ...; it is to his glory to overlook an offense.  Offence therefore is a choice. 

Mastery of offence calls for cultivating a defence system in our senses and spirit. We don't assume self control, we guard our hearts; we don't pray for meekness, we humble ourselves;  we don't delegate vigilance, we watch out by ourselves and we don't buy maturity, we grow to it. We must be gentle, meek, vigilant and mature to master and overlook  offence. 

Offence is the stepping stone to anger and anger when it is mature translates into sin. Be quick to assimilate, but slow to react, abounding in love. Overlooking an offense is our responsibility. 

AFFIRMATION

I am meek and matured.  I overlook offense.

WHY COMPLAIN?

NUMBERS 11:1 

And when the people complained, it displeased the LORD: and the LORD heard it; and his anger was kindled; and the fire of the LORD burnt among them, and consumed them that were in the uttermost parts of the camp.

MEDITATION

Why complain when you can ask. The same mouth and energy it takes to complain is the same mouth and energy it takes to ask. God answers prayers not complain. A wise man said "Why should any living man complain... LAMENTATIONS 3:39

Complain is simply accusing the unjust God of injustice; charging the faithful God with unfaithfulness, and abusing the mercy of the blood of Jesus with irresponsibility. Nobody dared God foolishly before and not receive instant judgement. Anyhow we look at God, God is good

There's no holy complain. You cannot complain and remain blameless. Complain displeases God. Prayer and thanksgiving instruction on how to present our matters to God properly. 

When overtaken by temptations, repent and pray; overwhelmed with trial, endure and pray; depressed by afflictions, be courageous and pray; betrayed by men, forgive and pray; mocked by others, despise and pray; confused with disappointment, rejoice and pray

Don't complicate your petitions neither compromised your expectations with complain but with prayers and thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God. 

Do everything without complaining. 

AFFIRMATION

I do everything without complain. I am not ungrateful.

CUCUMBERS OF EGYPT 

NUMBER  11:5 

We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlick:

MEDITATION

 The journey to canaan is full of temptations and challenges. Our mind atimes will go haywire and begin to entertain regrets becauseof these light and momentarily challenges. These unwholesome thoughts and memories are  cucumbers of Egypt.  No matter how lofty they seemed or how delicious it tasted, its only the blessings of God that carries no sorows with it. The devil has no free gift.

Let us not be quick to make unhealthy comparison between the church and the world,  between today and yesterday neither be  quick to complain in the face of  challenges. A wiseman once instructed :

"Say not thou, What is the cause that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not enquire wisely". Ecclesiastes  7:10

There has never been a generation that did not complain of hardship.  

Let not the memories of the cucumbers of Egypt deprive you of the blessings of milk and honey of Canaan.  Whenever we are faced with challenges, pressure or temptation that seems unbearable, lets hold fast unto God. Nothing lasts forever. 

Every temptation we face is our size. If you faint, fail or fall, it's your fault. Be steadfast and strong in faith. Our future is bright and beautiful. 

AFFIRMATION

I am steadfast and immovable. I believe God.

MIXED MULTITUDE

OUR DAILY BENEFITS DEVOTIONAL 

SUNDAY 10TH MARCH 2024

MIXED MULTITUDE 

NUMBERS  11:4

 And the mixt multitude that was among them fell a lusting: and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat?

MEDITATION

 We are so crowded with mixed multitude that atimes we look odd and out of place. Because evil is popular does not make it right or acceptable neither does it mean everybody is doing it. In every generation there's always a remnant that will not follow the multitude and do wrong.

Mixed multitude are people with ungodly, inconsistent, incompatible and contrary attributes amongst us. Since we interact with them daily,  their unhealthy lifestyle constitute a trap and temptation which If we don't resist vehemently, we or our children will soon learn their ways unconsciously. 

Adam did not protect the family from jungle influence and Cain learnt how to kill from the wild and killed the brother, and Lot did not protect the children from the influence of Sodom and they committed incest with him. Don't be carefree, careless or casual in your daily living in the world. Protect yourself and family from conscious and unconscions evil  around you. Never forget that character is contagious.

Don't compromise because of pressure, temptations or momentarily challenges. Be a shinning light and a burning fire and not cohabiting with darkness. 

When your heart is overwhelmed, Call on God and He will make a way of escape for you. Shalom!

AFFIRMATION

I am a shining light and a burning fire. I don't cohabit with darkness.

Father, when am overwhelmed with pressure and temptations, strengthen me to overcome them in Jesus name

DIVINE SEPARATION: BEWARE OF DELILAH'S LOVE 

JUDGES  16:4  

And it came to pass afterward, that he loved a woman in the valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah. 18 And when Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, Come up this once, for he hath shewed me all his heart. Then the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and brought money in their hand.  16:19 And she made him sleep upon her knees; and she called for a man, and she caused him to shave off the seven locks of his head; and she began to afflict him, and his strength went from him.

MEDITATION

Sampson was in love with Delilah and Delilah means LANGUISHING. She weakened him because that was her purpose. Though she slayed him, yet he trusted her. If you are in love with Delilah, you are on a suicide mission. .

Delilah are toxic people who are highway to the grave. They are evil, spiritual and purposeful.  They are dream killers and destiny destroyers. They exists in relationship, business, socials etc Dont try to resist what you should flee from. Love and trust alone are not enough reason to stay in a toxic relationship. Beware of Delilah!

You are in love with Delilah if your partner worships another God yet you can't resist her; you are not comfortable in a relationship yet you can't leave it; your partner has repeatedly hurt you yet you can't leave;  your partner is untrustworthy yet you can't leave; and  your partner is evil yet you can't leave. It's foolishness to underate Delilah. Sampson the strongest man and Solomon the wisest man paid dearly for this mistake.

Be sensitive and spiritual in relationships. Guard your heart with all diligence.  Delilah is after your heart, vision, glory and destiny. 

If you found yourself trapoed in Delilahs order of relationship, ask God to intervene and deliver you. 

AFFIRMATION

I am spiritual and sensitive.  I resist toxic people

DIVINE SEPARATION: PITY AND SENTIMENTS

GENESIS  13:8 

And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdmen and thy herdmen; for we be brethren.  13:9 Is not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left.

MEDITATION

Everything about life and destiny must be allowed to follow truth, purpose and principles. Beware of pity and sentiment in decision taking. Pity without revelation and reasoning will drag you into a pity; relationship without principles will turn you into a fool.

Be mindful of who you call after God has called you and why you stay in a relationship. Ensure anyone that follows you or you follow is approved by God.  Be prayerful before engaging in relationship. Expertise, money, sentiment, pity and family relationship is not enough reason to engage or continue in any relationship.  Most relationship should start and end on the road and social media.

Before relationship degenerate into betrayal and rebellion,  there were signs we tolerated and refused to give attention to out of pity and sentiments or what people will say. If you continue in a faulty relationship,  people will call you fool and if you depart from it, they will call you heartless.  Whatever you do, people will still talk. Refrain from being an echo of people’s opinion.

It’s not everyone that wants your attention that you must give. Some are Delilah pretending so they can  get close to you to steal your secret; some are evil monitoring camera like Sanballat and Tobias; some are Lot coming to discover your weakness so they can overthrow you, some are Jonadab sent to corrupt you and some are Absalom waiting to be strong again to bite you. Even Satan atimes masquerades as an angel of light. 

Be spiritual, sensitive, and purposeful.  Every time you become too weak and sentimental to depart from a relationship that is inimical to your destiny, ask God in his mercy and love to cause something to happen to that will forcefully terminate the relationship. Beware of pity and sentiments.

AFFIRMATION

I am purposeful. I walk with people with good mind and same destination 

 PRAYERS

Father, terminate every relationship around me that is inimical to my destiny fulfillment in Jesus name

DIVINE SEPARATION

GENESIS  13:14

 And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:  

MEDITATION

Don't be downcasted because someone left you. For us to move forward in life, some people who are not part of our destiny journey must leave us either willingly or forcefully. Every living thing eat and excrete to be healthy.

It does not matter who leaves us as long as God it is not the one that left. Don't see any man as indispensable. As long as their leaving wasn't your fault, a better person will soon replaced them. 

The person smiling at your face might be the same person biting your back. Don't worry or pursue after any person God has removed from your life. Their usefulness to you has expired.

Remember, sooner or later, everyone shall leave you. Men were sent to help you not to replace you. Don't forget God neither go to sleep because you now have help. Be spiritual and vigilant always so that you will not be disappointed and backstabbed.

AFFIRMATION

God is my help. Any man can leave.

 PRAYERS 

Father, separate me from every company that will corrupt my destiny  in Jesus name

TIMES AND SEASONS: TIMES OF REFRESHING 

ACTS  3:19  

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord

MEDITATION

Nothing lasts forever temptations and trials included. If you have suffered in your season of ignorance, afflicted in your season of tribulation, there's a season of refreshing coming where we shall rejoice.   Seasons have not finish. it is not over until you win.

Times of refreshing are the seasons God compensates us for our troubles like Job; reward us for our faithful stewardship like Hezekiah and give us our long awaited Inheritance of Isaac like Abraham. The expectations of the righteous shall not be cut off.

God is a rewarder and a prayer answering God.  Don't served Him in vain or for free out of ignorance. There's always joy in the morning.

Be patient,  strong in faith, serve God joyously and resist from charging God foolishly.  We are not finished but it is finished. Though it tarries, wait for it.

AFFIRMATION

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.

TIMES AND SEASONS: TIMES OF IGNORANCE 

ACTS  17:30 

 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:   

MEDITATION

Times of ignorance is a season we believe a wrong thing because we lacked the right knowledge or education or awareness about it. It's possible to sincerely see nothing wrong in wrong because we don't know it's wrong. Stop judging yourself about yesterday.

Environment, family, friends, wrong education, exposure, and mentality can influence and affect our believe system. It wasn't your fault. It was your season of ignorance of yesteryears.

Don't kill yourself about yesterday you cannot correct or today you did not have understanding about. As long as there's an opportunity to change, kickstart it. No change or progress is automatic. Be quick to learn, unlearn and relearn. 

God will not judge us by yesterday we walk in the dark but by today we have light and still stumble and tomorrow we see well and refused to walk in the light.

The past is past, let it go; the present is a here, maximize it, tomorrow is our future,  be focused on it!

Get better not bitter!

AFFIRMATION

My past is passed. My future is bright.

TIMES AND SEASONS: DUE TIME

TITUS  1:3  

But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour;

MEDITATION

Due time is the season that our cycle for manifestation is complete. It's the time of our showing forth. But most times God in his wisdom has to delay it even when our due time because we are either not ready or not yet matured for it. Moses though ready but immature killed a man on first day as a deliverer and has to be sent on a 40 years retraining.

When our time is due and we are not matured, we will make waste; when our time is due and we are not ready, we will fall into error; when our time is due and we are neither matured nor ready, we will disregard it; but when our time is due and we are matured and ready, we will succeed.

The lost son wasted his substance because he was ready but not matured; Esau fell into error and his lost birthright because he was mature but not ready and Gehazi attracted leprosy  because he was neither matured nor ready. It takes more than expectations and petition to come into manifestation. Faith alone without corresponding maturity and readiness is a catastrophe about to happen.

 While waiting for your due time, grow your faith, emotions, mentality, intellect and diligence. Your due time must not meet you immature or unprepared.

AFFIRMATION

My due time has matured. I am matured and prepared.

TIMES AND SEASONS: ANCIENT TIMES!

PSALMS  77:5 

I have considered the days of old, the years of ancient times.

MEDITATION

“While the earth remaineth, don’t say old days were better. No day has an advantage over the other”.  But the scriptures admonished us to consider the days of old. Yes it does but to avoid the mistakes of the ancients and emulate the strengths of old.

Never say old days were better. Men were still complaining then as most are still complaining now. They failed to learn positive lessons from history that preceded them but few learnt and conquered.  Considered their story, learn from their experience and build your faith. If we make the same mistakes men of old made, we did not learned anything glorious from their story.

Ancient times is history times. History of glory and gory tales. Whatsoever does not have a history does not have a story; whatsoever does not have a history has no sure foundation; and  whatsoever does not have a history has no future. One thing about history,  you choose the lessons you learn from it.

Not every part of the scriptures are prophecies to believe or commandments to obey or judgement to enforce.  Most are examples (history, culture and traditions) for us to know and learn what to emulate or eliminate. Don’t wait to go through everything. Experience is an expensive teacher.  A good understanding of the history will helps us to eliminate things that will delay our time and emulate things that will quicken our success. 

Only God is Ancient of days.  All men are time travelers from destiny to eternity.  Before you waste another time, check history; you will find a story to help you understand the times.

AFFIRMATION

I am a time Traveler. I turn history to glory..

TIMES AND SEASONS: WHILE THE EARTH REMAINETH!

GENESIS  8:22  

While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and dayand night shall not cease.

MEDITATION

While the earth remaineth, order, changes and progression will remain constant.  Order is the arrangements of events in time and seasons, change is the difference in events with time and seasons while progression is the succession of events with time and seasons. Understanding order, changes and progression is the power to succeed in times and seasons

While the earth remaineth, time will not stop running and people and seasons will not stop changing. We must strive to catch up with time and adapt to people and seasons.

While the earth remaineth, somethings will change with time and somethings will requires us to change with time. We must adapt.

While the earth remaineth, there’s no time to mark, while away or waste. He that engages in any of these will not go anywhere.

While the earth remaineth, we must know, understand and maximize times and seasons. Failure will make us out of tune with time and season.

While the earth remaineth, do not wish time was longer or seasons better. If 24 hours is not enough for you, 25 hours won’t be either

While the earth remaineth, don’t say old days were better. No day has an advantage over the other.

While the earth remaineth, if you don’t kill yourself for your seed in time, something will kill your seed for you with time. Wake up!

While the earth remaineth, the scriptures must be fulfilled.  Redeem the time for the days are evil.

Fear God, keep his commandments, love one another, pursue peace, rejoice always and work well. 

While the earth remaineth, do your best and leave the rest and you will be at rest.

AFFIRMATION

I am at rest. I do my best and God does the rest.

TIMES AND SEASONS: HARVEST

JEREMIAH  8:20  

The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.

MEDITATION

We harvest what we invest; we harvest when we have sowed good seeds;  we harvest when we sowed on a good ground; We harvest when we have  laboured for our seed; we harvest when we watched over our seed. 

Harvest is past when there was no seed in the ground; Harvest is past when we failed to sow in time; Harvest is past when there are no labor in the field; Harvest is past when we arrived late;  Harvest is past when we sleep on duty; Harvest is past when we don't protect our seed; Harvest is past when there are no fruits. 

Harvest is not a miracle; harvest is a result. We work for harvest and pray for good harvest. We will reap what we sow not what we wish. Favour is not a substitute but a supplement of labour.

When we do what we ought to do when we ought to do it, we will have what we ought to have when we ought to have it. When we are seed time conscious, labour active and covenant responsible, we will be abundant harvest joyous in its season. 

If we fail to plant and water, we will have nothing to harvest.

AFFIRMATION

I have planted and watered. I believe God for good harvest.

Father make me seed time, labour and harvest active in Jesus name.
