CUCUMBERS OF EGYPT 

NUMBER  11:5 

We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlick:

MEDITATION

 The journey to canaan is full of temptations and challenges. Our mind atimes will go haywire and begin to entertain regrets becauseof these light and momentarily challenges. These unwholesome thoughts and memories are  cucumbers of Egypt.  No matter how lofty they seemed or how delicious it tasted, its only the blessings of God that carries no sorows with it. The devil has no free gift.

Let us not be quick to make unhealthy comparison between the church and the world,  between today and yesterday neither be  quick to complain in the face of  challenges. A wiseman once instructed :

"Say not thou, What is the cause that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not enquire wisely". Ecclesiastes  7:10

There has never been a generation that did not complain of hardship.  

Let not the memories of the cucumbers of Egypt deprive you of the blessings of milk and honey of Canaan.  Whenever we are faced with challenges, pressure or temptation that seems unbearable, lets hold fast unto God. Nothing lasts forever. 

Every temptation we face is our size. If you faint, fail or fall, it's your fault. Be steadfast and strong in faith. Our future is bright and beautiful. 

AFFIRMATION

I am steadfast and immovable. I believe God.

 PRAYERS

Father, endue me with strength to encourage myself in your words in Jesus name
