SCHOOL OF LIFE: JEALOUSY 

GALATIANS 5.19 -20

The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions (NIV)

MEDITATION 

Jealousy mean I have and I don't want you to have. It's when we become intolerant of others we suspect as rivals. The problem with jealousy is not the action but the assumption.  It's possible to be sincerely wrong in most case of jealousy. What we suspect and antagonized might not be true,

Jealousy is not borne out of love but feeling of exclusive ownership and right over something.  It's not a sin but it can lead to sin. It's a very dangerous cage to be imprisoned in. God can be jealous because He's righteous and all knowing but we are not so must control our emotions. 

Love worketh no evil to his neighbour.  Love of Christ constraints us. We must not be quick to judge and suspect.  We should be tolerance of others and seek deeper understanding of issues before we draw conclusion. Nothing is wrong with jealousy when the issues are true but every thing wrong with jealousy when the issue is based on mere assumptions. 

Be guidance of your possession but be wise, tolerance and sensitive.

AFFIRMATION 

I don't jump to conclusions.  I tolerate and seek deeper understanding. 

 PRAYERS

Father, baptise me with the spirit of love, patience and discernment in Jesus name
