ROCK OF OFFENCE!
ROMANS 9:33
As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
MEDITATION
Many Christians are guilty of offence in the faith. Christians are now the ones tearing the faith apart by criticism. We have now becone a toxic tool in the hand of the devil in destroying the faith we are building. When a brother is deviating, you thst is strong owes him the responsibility of restoring him back in prayers and not in public.
When we are offended in our offices, we accept sorry as a compensation and continue working; we are offended in our neighborhood, we lived, we quarreled and continued living in the neighborhood. But we are offended in church by a sister or we picked an offence in the word of God, we will stop going to church. Caution! Don't allow offence remove your defense. Offence opened door for John the Baptit to be beheaded.
The word of God is a two edged sword. It can go forward in your favour when handle with joy or comes backward to your detriment when handle with foolishness. Be void offence towards God and men. Give no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed: (2 Corinthians 6:3).
Be an agent of glory to the church at all cost. Let neither God nor the gospel be brought into disrepute because of your words, actions or reaction. Merciful God is also a consuming fire. He's a Rock of offence and a jealous God. Beware of your actions and reactions everywhere.
AFFIRMATION
I am a agent of glory. I defend the faith.
PRAYERS
Father, give me grace to be a defence not an offence to the faith in Jesus name
