PRAYER DURATION
MATTHEW 26:40
And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?
MEDITATION
The duration of personal prayers is not a function of prayer points but intimate sweet fellowship with the Holy spirit.
Moses was on the mount with God for fourty days and night twice; David prayed evening, morning and afternoon and Jesus continued in prayer all night. The question is, how did they managed to stay this long in God's presence ?
When you are gisting with whom you love, gist no dey finished. How close you are with anyone determines how long you tarry with the person.
Prayer is not a gift nor wish nor prophecy nor fruit of the spirit but taking sonship responsibility; and you master whatever you do frequently. How frequent you see someone generates intimacy and how intimate you are with someone determines how long you tarry with him. Sonship is not enough. We must be on a good and regular talking terms with our father. A visitor and stranger cannot tarry long in his presence.
Commitment to continuous fellowship will generate passion and intimacy to tarry long in His presence.
AFFIRMATION
I arrange my woods daily on the altar. My fire burns passionately
PRAYERS
Father revive me with passion for prayers in Jesus name.
