OVERCOMING LUST
1 JOHN.2.16
For the world offers only the lust for physical pleasure, the lust for everything we see, and pride in our possessions. These are not from the Father. They are from this evil world. (NLT)
MEDITATION
Lust is a strong desire for something not minding the consequences.
While greed is a war against others good, lust is a war against self good.
Our senses are the generators of our lusts. If we don't discipline all our senses, lusts will take away all our senses.
Lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh, lust of the mind; these are the summaries of all the evils in the world.
To lust is evil; to love is godly.
Flee lusts and it's temptations thereof.
PRAYERS
Father, create in me a clean heart and deliver me from the spirit of lust in Jesus name.
AFFIRMATION
I am the temple of the holy spirit. I am made alive in Christ. I resist lust of the eyes, flesh and mind
