#BETHESDA ___CHURCH_WITH_FIVE_PORCHES
“Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered…” – John 5:2–3 (KJV)
🔥 #EXHORTATION
Good morning beloved!
The church is not a showroom but a hospital of expectations. Its filled with people bound by affliction and delay. This account for the reason people assemble at Bethesda.
Bethesda means House of mercy and inside this house of mercy lay a multitude of expectant people. The five porches were wards where challenged people were waiting and expecting. They were in the right place with the wrong mindset. Just like many in church today. Their expectations are delayed not because they didn't have faith but because they believe amiss. Are you waiting and expecting in Bethesda amiss?
These people in the church today symbolized people waiting amiss at tge five porches:
¶ The Impotent Folks — Powerless People. These are those who have no spiritual strength, no fire, no passion, no discipline.
¶ The Blind Folks — Visionless People. They cannot see direction, purpose, destiny, or spiritual truth.
¶ The Halt Folks — Inconsistent People. They move today and stop tomorrow. They have no consistency, no progress, and no stability.
¶ The Withered Folks — Drained People. Something in them has dried up—joy, motivation, passion, prayer, faith, or hope.
¶ “I Have No Man” Folks — Abandoned People. These are people who blame their condition on the absence of human help.
Jesus is visiting Bethesda today and His word is the pool. Stop waiting and expecting amiss. Jesus is mercy and His word is the pool. Receive Him, hear the word, study it, believe it and take responsibility for it. Blessings are in obedient to instructions of the word not in doctrines.
Beloved, maybe you find yourself in one of the five porches by circumstances. Hear this: Jesus is here. Your season of waiting is over. Bethesda shall answer to its name in your life today in Jesus name. Amen.
