Every celebration of Thanksgiving should begin with a fast and conclude with a feast.

Have you ever worship God in a thanksgiving fast?

Before you give men a feast of thanksgiving to eat, give God a fast of thanksgiving to smell.

God seeks true worshippers.

MEDITATION

It's good to take the mountains alone like Caleb;

It's better to win together like Moses, Aaron & Hur;

But it's best to hand it over to God in fasting, let God take the glory, you take the victory and profit like Jehoshaphat.

It's wisdom to allow God fight for us.

AFFIRMATION

I fast, pray and praise.  God takes the glory, I take the profit.

MEDITATION

There's a place for common sense, wisdom and prayers in providing protection. When protection is beyond common sense and natural wisdom, there's need to invoke supernatural protection.

Heaven is loaded with legions of angel waiting to go offensive or defensive as the earth may demand. But they can only respond to those who can stir the spiritual to provoke such intervention through prayer and fasting.

Supernatural protection is available and fasting will enforce it.

AFFIRMATION

I fast and pray. I am divinely protected.

It can provoke the heavens to compel the earth to bend any law in our favour.

MEDITATION

Prayers are like gears. It's needed to start, climb hill, speed and reverse.

There's also gear for difficult terrain and to lift out of impossible situations. It's called auxiliary gear.

Fasting is the auxiliary gear of prayers. What prayer alone cannot do, prayer and fasting will do with ease.

Don't just pray; fast and pray.

Prayer is not a gift or  wish or prophecy or fruit of the spirit but practice; and practice makes perfect.

A visitor and stranger cannot tarry  in his presence.

Continuous practice and commitment to fellowship will generate passion to abide in His presence.

MEDITATION

When God answers prayers, we receive the answers; when the devil resist our answers, we take our answers.

Delay of answers to prayer does not mean God has not answered instead the devil is at work. 

Don't give up instead go up with praises and forcefully take delivery of your testimony.

Don't give up on God, don't give up on yourself.

MEDITATION

Altar robbers are real and God is not responsible for the security of our services, sacrifices and supplications upon the altar; but we are.

After presenting our services, sacrifices and supplications on the altar, let's wait upon God like Daniel and watch over it like Abraham. The enemy's duty is still to steal, kill and destroy.

When we sleep on the altar, our services, sacrifices and supplications becomes vulnerable.

It's an error to fall asleep while our spiritual transactions are still processing.

AFFIRMATION

I am an altar vigilante. I watch over my spiritual transactions.

MEDITATION

Some altar are fireful and powerless because the altar fire has been corrupted by the quality of woods and offerings the priest lay upon the altar.

Since we are the priest and the altar, our services must be done as commanded and sacrifices as instructed, or else the altar becomes fireful and useless 

When we don't pray in obedience, we pray and miss 

AFFIRMATION

I served as commanded and sacrifice as instructed. I am under authority.

2 CHRONICLES  33:16  

And he repaired the altar of the LORD, and sacrificed thereon peace offerings and thank offerings, and commanded Judah to serve the LORD God of Israel.

MEDITATION

An altar is a transmitter of spiritual transactions.

A defiled, broken or abandoned altars are an abomination before the Lord. Spiritual and transactions in them will never be transmitted.

If prayer altar has been defiled by sin; broken by rebellion or abandoned by laziness, there's need for genuine repentance and humility before any transactions is conducted.

An altar that is not repaired cannot transmit an acceptable sacrifice and service.

AFFIRMATION

 I will humble myself in repentance and the Lord will show me mercy.

PRAYERS

Father, create in me a broken and a contrite spirit in Jesus name.

MEDITATION

It's not enough to be the temple of the holy spirit. The temple must kept active and fervent. Carnality kills altar fire.

Spiritual transactions like prayers, fasting, praise etc  keeps the altar active and fervent.

When altar becomes inactive, it becomes a dustbin for anything goes of life.

A fireless altar is a powerless altar.

I resist carnal mindedness. I embrace spiritual mindedness.

MEDITATION

When God renewed his relationship with man after the fall, He started with an altar, then to tents and finally as temples which we are. Summarily we are all altars.

Prayers is one of the ritual that keeps the fire on the altar burning always to make us powerful and shinning.

Prayers keeps our altars hot so that Satan will not hurt us.

Prayer is not a Christian doctrine but a spiritual order. Any man that is not praying is guilty of living a carnal and careless life 

Spiritual people pray about issues; carnal people complain about issues.

Our prayer fervency determines our closeness to God, authority on earth and respect from the devil.

Challenges are chargers and chances to bounced you back to action not setup to keep you down from action.

MEDITATION

If we cannot respect the aged we see, we will never respect the Ancient of Days we have not seen.

Elders are one of the greatest foundation of greatness. We feast on their success story and learn from their mistakes.

Virtues and morals are not found in school nor google but are inherited or imparted upon people through their relationship with elders.

Be kind to the young, respectful to elders;

No one stays young forever.

PRAYERS

Quicken me to walk in the fear of God and respect for one another in Jesus name.

I respect the aged. I feast on their experience to live longer and better.

Holding a grudge makes you bitter and forgiveness sets you free. It takes love and courage to forgive.
