SCHOOL OF LIFE: UNWISE COMPANY
PROVERBS 13:20
He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.
#REFLECTION
The people you surround yourself with determine the direction of your life. Proverbs 13:20 makes it clear—wise associations lead to wisdom, but unwise company brings destruction. It's not everybody that you should give a seat in your life. Some should just visit and leave.
Unwise company does not always appear dangerous at first. Sometimes, it disguises itself as fun, comfort, or familiarity. But over time, it leads to poor choices, wasted time, and spiritual drift. True wisdom is recognizing when a relationship no longer serves God's purpose in your life and having the courage to walk away.
Spiritually, walking with ungodly influences weakens your faith and convictions. Emotionally, negative company fosters toxic thoughts and discouragement. In peak performance, bad associations kill discipline, limit vision, and breed mediocrity. Your inner circle is a prophecy of your future. Who you walk with today determines where you will be tomorrow.
If you are constantly surrounded by those who gossip, compromise, or discourage you from pursuing God's best, it's time to realign. Don't trade your destiny for momentary companionship. Choose your company with purpose.
Mind the people you allow into the circle of your life. Define every association and guard it's gates vigilantly and diligently. Defines the boundaries and terms of who is a friend, colleague, mate and relations. Never assume a company.
People we associate with are meant to be sharpeners not erasers. Never accept a company out of pity or sentiment. Nobody and nothing leaves you the same.
Life is too short to waste around stupid people and things. Being vigilant with people you allow into your life is wisdom not pride.
Be wise in choosing your company.

📌 Seek Wise Counsel – Surround yourself with godly mentors and purpose-driven people.

Heavenly Father, give me the wisdom and courage to walk away from relationships that do not honor You. Help me choose my company wisely, so I may grow in faith, wisdom, and purpose. Surround me with people who uplift and challenge me toward greatness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
